Siemens NX

Welcome to my Siemens NX experience page! Here, you'll discover how I spent my summer enhancing my skills with Siemens NX, a key CAD software used in engineering. This journey was both challenging and rewarding, as I delved into complex 3D modeling and technical tasks. I worked on some intricate projects, and gained valuable insights that will benefit my future engineering endeavors. I’m excited to share the progress I made and the new skills I developed along the way!

My Experience

Over the summer of 2024, I focused on improving my skills in Siemens NX, an essential CAD software in engineering design. My goal was to elevate my 3D modeling and technical skills in preparation for my upcoming co-op at the University of Cincinnati.

I began by revisiting the foundational concepts from my EDG course in the spring 2024 semester. This review helped solidify my understanding and prepared me for more advanced challenges. Revisiting these earlier projects allowed me to identify areas where I could improve, setting the stage for a deeper dive into more complex functionalities.

Guided by advanced Siemens NX tutorials, I explored complex features and tools within the software. These tutorials introduced me to techniques that were previously unfamiliar, expanding my ability to model and manipulate 3D objects more effectively.

A standout project was the creation and assembly of a radial engine from scratch. The process of assembling the radial engine was a true test of my patience and technical understanding, involving multiple components that needed to fit together seamlessly. Completing the radial engine assembly was a major achievement, and it reinforced my confidence in handling complex engineering tasks.

This summer’s experience significantly enhanced my Siemens NX proficiency, giving me the confidence and skills to tackle more challenging projects in my upcoming co-op and future career.
